Barfly! [ the comic ]

Duude, went to a game store today that also has a buncha comics. They have a ton of dnd stuff there aswell, when i say game store I don't mean video games. Alright so I'm browsing the wall of comics they got on display right? I notice this fucked up fly guy on the cover of one, obviously it caught my attention, I adore bugs. Obviously after skimming through it I had to buy the available volumes.

For starters I love the artstyle, he's such a critter. I also just have a major soft spot for non human characters. He's a  mutated fly as the name suggests, got his wings torn off and that's like the main reason he wasn't wiped out with the rest of the mutated bugs. Only have the first two issues so far but I'm definitely interested in buying the rest as it comes out.

I think they way they handled the mouth was so smart, not having an expressive mouth woulda made illustrating his emotions that much harder. It's a bit strange at times but ultimately I think it's really cute. He can't verbally speak to anyone and I enjoy the way he's able to communicate with those around him.

Only complaint is I wish the chapters were a bit longer. At this point in time I think there's a total of four volumes but I highly recommend the series.
