I hate when I get a notification for a friend request or a profile comment, only to find it's a dogwater SpaceHey musician trying to advertise their also dogwater music they've produced. Not even musicians on Twitter or TikTok are as pushy as this. Like, stop trying to go undercover as my "buddy," so that I feel honored to be "friends" with this "super cool musician" and listen to your dogwater beats.
I understand that back in the day, a lot of music artists had their own MySpace profile, but those days are gone, music-dwindlers, MOVE ON.
SpaceHey is a place to be social and find friends. I think it is okay to advertise your music a little to good friends on SpaceHey that like the same music as you, or like adding a link to your YouTube profile. But if you're a stranger on the internet that is trying to tie me down and forcefeed me your mediocre melodies, why do you think I would be interested? Do you seriously think I'm so lonely, bored, and have too much time on my hands that I would turn on your "music"?
I feel bad for people with dead profiles like mine, whose only comments are music promos. Stop. It. It's so awkward, and it only gains a negative and awkward reputation surrounding your music. Stop tryna advertise your stuff, there isn't a blog category on SpaceHey for this.
I recall one time deleting a SpaceHey musician from my friendlist, and a second later they sent me a friend request, which I declined of course, only for ANOTHER friend request to be sent to me. (gonna call you out for this one buddy, Perty the Virtual Musician)
Blocked. Blocked. Blocked. All of you. I will be finding the dislike button on your YouTube videos if any of you try to add me.

I know this blog was literally 2 months ago but I lowkey, highkey, all-key agree. I was so happy when I received 2 friend requests from people, cuz I had no friend requests at the time of joining. And this may sound dramatic but I was so disheartened when I found out these were just profiles to advertise their music and these ppl didn't wanna be friends w/ me, like I was genuinely so disappointed and like :| I'm really not a fan of that.
But I think the people advertising their music has dwindled since your post as I've only gotten 2 friend rqs from artists. But then again I've only been here for 5 days sooo
yeah i havent gotten any friend requests from spacehey musicians since
maybe they've seen my blog post and have gone "oop! nvm.."
but still, all they do is add people, comment "cool profile! :) thanks for the add," (that'll be the only interaction yall would ever have) and absolutely MILKKKK the shi out of their music. im not gonna lie there arent any great musicians on this website either.
