true crime podcasts suck majorly - ramble

okay so like this is totally a ramble so if this doesnt make sense then yeah.. but like i hate true crime podcasts SO much because like what are MOST of them doing?? they dont talk about the victims with ANY respect and treat actual crimes like soap operas or netflix dramas... like these are real peopl? real people with family and friends?? real people with hobbies and interests and feelings and a future???? crimes shouldnt be treated like entertainment to listen to while driving to your 9-5 job from your upperclass gated neighborhood. and YEAH sometimes true crime helps people stay aware of current issues but that doesnt change how so many of them do it solely for the money. if i get brutally murdered and the msot people talk about my death is on a podcast called "wine and crime" or some bs and has an effing hello fresh ad before then just forget my name entirely. documentaries are sooo much better for the victims because they take time and actually think?? nothing gets me more angry than hearing the most braindead theories on a true crime podcast come from someone who genuinely knows nothing about the people involved or about what motives the criminal could have actually had. but as i said i guess im just mostly angry at how mistreated victims are on thos epodcasts and how they treat the lives of others as entertainment. iddk. if u have a similar or entirely different opinion id like to hear it. also i know i spelt some stuff wrong i just typed fast
