more OCs art and lore (updated) :)

soo i drew this based on my OCs band xD I still haven't drawn jason yet but once i do i'll edit this blog to add it as well! 

I'm still deciding the name of their band, but they're a black metal band mixed with riot grrrl, because I thought it'd be an interesting concept to explore. Steph is the lead singer, Jason is the baterist, Matt the guitarist and....! There's also a basist but I'll keep it a secret for now ehehehe 

anyway, remember the last post i made where a dude was telling jason that the metal community was full of posers because of him? that was one of the band's haters; metalheads like them the same way they liked nu metal in the 90s (basically they called them 'not real metal') because their lyrics mainly focuses on women's issues and stuff, and black metal fans (mostly men) say that they're only 'dressing as them' because punk isn't as cool as it used to. 

however, the band managed to gain their fair amount of fans, which, surprise, most of them are women in the metal scene or alternative! considering there aren't as many metal female artists in the scene (let alone black metal) talking about womanhood but still keeping up with the narratives of black metal's lyrics, a lot of people (women, trans folks, etcetera) have grown quite fond of the band. They become famous later on for this exact reason. 

PS. Steph's stage design is inspired by real black metal female singers!
