complaining abt capcoms mistreatment of mia winters

    UGH. Mia had SO MUCH POTENTIAL and im genuinely vry upset about how little attention is paid 2 her. first of all, SHE was the one interacting with biohazards, not ethan??? we should get to kno more abt that?? but nooo, we only get to see her when she needs a knight in shining armor. (눈_눈)

kidnapped? twice?? needing ethan to rescue her??? even tho she knos so much more then him n is probably MUCH more capable???? come on. like, i get it. part of the horror of re7+8 is ethan figuring shit out but STILL.

Dont get me wrong, i loved shadow of rose, but i really feel like a dlc about MIA wouldve been A) less repetitive and given us a chance to learn more about her, and B) a much scarier game. like, shadows of rose was just... rose going through warped versions of things ethan went through with a few added changes from roses memories. a DLC about mia wouldve let us go back to the grimy, dark horror of re7, one that i personally found MUCH scarier compared to re8. we couldve gotten completely new spooks, but Cap-com just didnt care about mia, i guess. or they couldve GIVEN MIA MORE TIME IN SHADOWS OF ROSE!! i wouldve LOVED to see her struggling to cope with the grief of losing her husband DIRECTLY AFTER getting kidnapped TWICE. (forgive me if im forgetting stuff that did actually happen, its been a while) 

 i also think the fandom is totally sleeping on her. HAVE YOU SEEN HER IN RE7???? SHE WAS THE PERFECT HORROR PROTAG!!!!!!! SHE HAD ALL THE  FEATURES PEOPLE LIKE IN FEMALE HORROR CHARACTERS!!!! WHERE R MY FEMCEL EDITS CALLING HER BASED FOR GETTING POSSESSED AND TRYING 2 KILL HER HUSBAND?!?!?! (/hj) i love ethan but COME ON!! mia was genuinely so much more interesting and following her through re7 AT LEAST FOR A LITTLE BIT wouldve been SO good.

 i cant think of any reason for not using mia other than... capcom just doesnt really care for their female characters? there are some wonderful ones but when you actually examine them theyre quite... flat. two-demensional. i think as far as genuinely good female main characters theres been, like, one? two? compared to EVERY OTHER MALE CHARACTER? sighhh. again, its been a while since i watched playthroughs, so i apologize if i got something wrong, im just TIRED of women being pushed to the side. i could go on and on about things i dislike in both the re fandom and the games themselves but i dont really want to get too negative..

all this to say, i love mia, i think she had incredible potential as a protagonist in her own game, i think its very annoying that all her knowledge and skill is ignored so she can be a damsel in distress, and i think everyone who hates her COMPLETELY missed the mark.

capcom i love you but you really missed an incredible opportunity and i will never quite forgive you for ignoring her.
