Either you are gonna curate the experience or you aren't gonna enjoy it. Yeah, it's hard to find people who are your type, but it's hard to do that IRL too. I don't think it's any worse in here, everyone have an ingroup, and outgroup, sometimes they are judgy or waste your time. I think it's impossible to reach out in any social capacity and not get any what I call "Spam buddies". You tried, but they just don't fit someone you want to hang out with or talk to a bunch bc they are clique~, or maybe messy, or just unavailable mentally, INTENSE, or have a gross side you can't deal with - I still think it's important to go thru that bc it's like a clue that is getting you closer to people you really will enjoy, you just gotta keep filtering and reaching out
