✶ BANGER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES. (RECIPE)

First recipe I'm publicly posting, decided to go with the easiest and most classic shit you could make, chocolate chip cookies.

Now, I'm trying to make this as short as possible, I don't want a whole "back in 1965 my grammy maw first founded our generational chocolate chip cookie recipe.." I Don't have a backstory for this. It's fucking cookies. These are really similar to those premade grocery store cookie dough packs that are already formed into squares, you know what I mean? They're super thin, but still that perfect amount of thin and gooey. I've gone through about 4 different recipes, and this one by far is the best.

Anyways, enough rambling, here's the recipe.

------------------------------------------------

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/4 Cup of all-purpose flour (Spooned and leveled if you aren't lazy)
3/4 Teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 Teaspoon of baking powder
1 Teaspoon of salt
1/2 Cup (or 1 stick) of unsalted butter, melted and cooled.
1/2 Cup light brown sugar
1/3 Cup granulated sugar
1 Large egg
1 Tablespoon of vanilla
1 1/2 Cup (or measure with your heart) Chocolate chips (I Personally use ghirardelli semisweet, but it's your choice.)

------------------------------------------------

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat your oven to 350F, Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix your dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl, (Flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt) then set that aside for now.

In a bigger bowl, add your melted and cooled butter (Make sure it isn't hot, put it in the freezer for a couple minutes until it's at LEAST room temp.) and your sugars. Beat it with a whisk for 3 minutes. It might look combined after a couple seconds, but do **NOT** stop whisking. One of the most important parts is making sure it turns into a lighter, paste like consistency. Beat the shit out of that mixture until 3 minutes are up.

Once mixed, add in your egg and vanilla then stir until completely combined.

Add in your dry ingredients and fold in the mixture until its almost combined, if you still see streaks of flour within your dough, add in your chocolate chips then finish mixing.

Depending on how big your cookie sheet is, scoop out your cookies into balls. (I Personally take a cookie scoop and just set them out on the tray, if you don't have one just use a tablespoon.) I Don't recommend rolling them into balls with your hands.

Cook them for around 12 minutes. If they aren't done by then add another two minutes on the timer, and check them occasionally.

Once out of the oven, if you have one, place the cookies on a wire cookie tray to let them cool, if you don't just keep 'em on the tray for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with a bit of sea salt if you want and you're done.
