I've never really felt super self-conscious about the music I listen too, but whenever I have my Spotify shuffle on and a song i think might be embarrassing comes on i turn down the volume and try to talk over the music LOL
Can't let my coworkers know that I love hyperpop and shoegaze.

Any video game or Minecraft series (Hermitcraft and Life series) fan songs. They aren't even super obvious, I just worry too much about people hyper-analyzing the lyrics and realizing I'm even more of a nerd than they realised

most of my playlist is 50's-70s rocknroll, but some people look at me weird when i tell them to listen to EDEN, his stuff is insane. also Coldplay, i like Coldplay

hmmm, I don't think I'm straight up embarrassed by any songs, but I think if I put on Perfume people would think it's v/outta character lol
I hella get that, ive been told i "give off the look of someone who listens to alot of older rock" but then they are surprised when im listening to some weird hyperpop in the car LOL

I'm a staunch practitioner of the mantra that there is no such thing as a guilty pleasure, if you like something you like it and there should be no shame in it. That said, I quite like Ken Ashcorp's song Absolute Territory and I think the lyrics are genuinely rather embarrassing - I mean, if I had ever written that I would be more then a little bit ashamed of it! Its a damn good song tho, very catchy.

mom was in the car when touch fluffy tail came on and i felt so fucking red, i dont think she was reading much into the lyrics (I FUCKING HOPE TO GOD) and only mentioned that it was very "catchy"
