as an elder kpop stan, emo and kpop kinda went hand in hand with anime because we were the cringy kids on the net.I was around for the second gen kpop wave and the 2010 emo gen (i was 8 to 12).now, me being 19 both emo and kpop have evolved and so did the way people percieve both of these genres. i find myself enamored by the iconic pop punk and fun upbeat side of emo where as now skramz is trending. I actually like emocore and skramz but one thing that seems to annoy me is seeing kids shove iconic bands down the stairs for NO reason, ignore them or worse not even give them try which is sooo upsetting. im not here to tell anyone what to do tbh.
actually im forgetting my point, i suggest people to try out stuff that has been loved by many insted of trying hard to be niche and cool because you might miss out.
example i was scared of getting into panic at the disco and now i know afycso bar for bar.
i just dont get how projects with the same kind of effort and emotion put in them could weight diffrently or worse one being more cool or better than the other. example as im talking about panic at the disco esp their first album is wrote by TEENAGERS about family dynamics, toxic relatioships, fame, gender, sexuality. in my fave song they talk about critics, fame, trends and scenes and how people in the spotlight come and go. they get their praises, their insults and leave.
um i forgot the premis of me talking but i hope people get whats bothering me
