Back home after a few days traveling to Kentucky and Ohio. The trip started in Corbin, KY with running the Colonel Sanders half marathon. I was actually impressed with Corbin. The downtown area was nice with the train Depot and Colonel Sanders Park. I stopped at The Wrigley Taproom and Eatery. Wonderful food, beers, music, and people. I lived the atmosphere there and that would be my go-to place if I lived in the area.
The weather was cool and crisp, but not uncomfortably cold for a guy living in Phoenix. Several other members of the 50 State Half Marathon club and they made it a fun time. The run was well supported with volunteers and local high school students. It did have a couple of hills but overall it wasn't too bad. I would definitely run it again.
After the run I drove up to Northern Kentucky and visited Bobby Mackey's music world. I'm a big paranormal fan and that was a spot near the top of my bucket list. I didn't see any ghosts or demons, but I met and took a picture with Bobby, and the band playing that evening (Right Turn Clyde) was good.
I next made my way to Scottown, OH where I started with my mom and grandma a couple of days. It's never enough time, but it had been maybe three years, so I was glad to see them.
