why are chromebooks so fucking annoying... like absolutely NOTHING is available on here. i have one, i dont have a pc or another laptop and i can barely do anything, it pisses me off so bad. now im not too good with tech so there is probably a way to bypass it that i just dont know how to do but its such a pain in the ass when i want to play a cute little game i see other people play AND I FUCKING CANT BECAUSE ITS NOT SUPPORTED ON CHROMEBOOKS. and it only gets worse with each update, like i used to be able to get discord on here but guess what, I CANT EVEN DO THAT ANYMORE. why?? i dont fucking know, i just accidentally pressed the lock screen button trying to press the backspace button and it updated and now suddenly no more discord. i literally have to open it in a browser tab instead of being able to download the app. and dont even get me started on the lack of caps lock. are we in the fucking dark ages, what do you mean theres no caps lock and why is there that stupid ass search button in its place, when would i ever need that?? it doesnt even open google or anything, no, instead it just searches through my apps/files and theres already a little button for that in the bottom corner of the screen, all you have to do is tap it. i need to have a serious chat with anyone who was involved in that decision because what...

On GOD. Mine has some sort of weird trackerware on it so I can't even play games. It sets off a search ban whenever I search "laser", so I have to type "lazer" whenever I search laser tag carpet. Annoying af

cheap chromebooks are the reason I had access to the internet for a good while in my childhood and it made me have to learn shit to make shit work. chrome OS is bad but it still means alot to me

Frrrr we have to use Chromebooks for schoolwork and other than for homework or listening to music they are USELESS. I mean even then I can't even listen to some songs because the video's blocked??? It's a LYRICS VIDEO????? HELLOOOOO????
But yeah I'm not fab with tech either, and even though some people have found mods and ways to bypass these security measurements the school has put in place on them, but the school CAN check through your Chromebook at any given time since it's technically the school's and we're just borrowing it.
And then there are the numbskulls who intentionally damage the Chromebooks just to get out of work... Like c'mon we're in 2nd set PULL YOUR ACT TOGETHER
thats honestly so set 2 of them though. and im probably gonna have to do my schoolwork on mine next year if i get in to my first choice of college... not excited.

Oh my god I wish you luck 🙏 I just can't focus on Chromebooks unless it's a creative writing task or one for fun then I lock in. Same with scrolling on Pinterest, but that's the problem, because it's on Google I get really distracted
Plus it's not fair we get set 2 stereotypes 🥀🥀 because we do the exact same work as set 1 we just have all the loud, obnoxious kids and chavs whilst set 1 has all the calmer kids

Its fun until there's a water bottle thrown around the class, as well as a ball, or when it just gets really loud anyway and you can't focus (plus I'm lowkey paranoid so I always think that the "it" ppl or literally anyone else who's not in my friend group are judging me)

yeah... and all my friends got afternoon appointments. also there was this one group of boys who spent an entire lesson throwing glitter at eachother while we were doing a practical. i cant really complain about people messing about much though cause whenever we did practicals my group would always take ages to set up and then always do it wrong.

my group almost burnt a ruler once and spent an entire lesson melting ice cubes on the radiator once cause the actual practical we were meant to be doing was so boring and we were somehow still allowed to work together after that.

I don't think anyone actually wants to do practical work unless it involves setting things on fire or cutting organs open. In which case, I am very untrusted but I am very invested and I actually do things
Btw if you liked melting a ruler you should probably try bursting a thermometer the liquid goes everywhere (I witnessed this happen it was shocking, especially considering the water was not supposed to be heated THAT much)
And seriously idk if you already know this or have done this ; but if you ever do a practical in Chem to do with catalysts,
or anything really, then DO NOT sniff the Sulfur Oxide, especially if you're athsmatic, cause not only does it stink but if you straight up snort it (no waftting) you will not be able to breathe properly for a good while

we never really did practicals with thermometers but we did do quite a few with acids and there was this one lesson in particular where everyone just kept spilling it on themselves. theres literally still a mark on the floor from when someone spilt the sulfuric acid.

That chromebook will NOT handle another actualization.
You should save some money for a new one. Most of the time old tech stops working because of new actualizations and not because of the quality of the product or whatever.
i have no idea what that means but if i could save up i would cause i hate this thing so much (incase you couldnt already tell).
