True nature of Cruelty

What is the true nature of Cruelty?

One that embodies evil is seen to be a terrible person as one would expect. They would hold a sense of selfishness, sadism, that pleasure of being above that of everyone else. Noone else should deserve such a view, it’s only right for them to be the one who shall have the honors to step on that platform, yes? Let them weep, make them even, just for the sake of it. Taking the role with open arms, having no intention for change,

 A very… 1 dimensional character, a laughable excuse of the true nature of Cruelty. 

It's simply unrealistic, a tool to make one look good beside them. The audience supports this character, for its ridiculousness. It's rather mocking really, annoyingly celebrated and romanticized.

You’ve seen Cruel before. I do not understand why, you pretend you haven't.

Dearest loved one. You’ve seen them at their lowest and highest, life has never been so kind to them, it's only natural for you to feel the need to be. oh how they worship you so dearly so, perhaps they define who you are, your worth, for you simply aren't able to love that person you see in the mirror, so you instead rely on someone else to do it for you. The only reminder that your fible existence may just mean something. 

One, two, “I simply did it for I love you”. Three, four, “everyone isn't perfect, roses have thorns”. Five, six, “it's simply a trait I need to fix”. Seven, eight, “everyone makes mistakes”. Nine, ten, couple slip ups fell into ignorance, they’ll do it again.

Can't you see they’ll do it again?

True cruelty held kindness like a bait.

True cruelty is claimed to be justified by past scars.

True cruelty is to be both hated and loved.

You do not understand.

How cruel it is. For a victim, who compared to a non empathetic villain has known fully well what suffering had felt, that suffocating feeling of being controlled, punished for even thinking of breathing for yourself. And decided that they too shall do it to someone else. 

Understand.

How cruel it is. For a loved one, who compared to a clueless stranger, has heard your story, your being, your skin that you show to the public eye one that you oh so desperately attempt to be, despite your filthy flesh that shows sin. Only them you have told of this filth you see you are. And decided to use that against you.

Know.

How cruel it is. For a human, who compared to that of a monster incapable of showing affection, they have felt for you, indulge your fantasy, enjoyed it even. They have that choice on their set of options to shower you with love, to be that support that lets you see that the flesh you have shown is one of beauty and part of your being. And they'll give you a taste of that, only for them to be the one that had decided with their conscious mind, no. I decide to be cruel. 

Do you see now? It's all around us, it could be you, it could be me.
