Went ghost for the whole summer so here’s a swift update! 

Albeit my body begging me to close my eyes, I’m filled with so much excitement and caffeine-fueled optimism I can’t do anything but write an entry! You’re probably not asking, “Why, after all this time, are you writing a blog?” Well, that’s because my laptop is broken to shit, and I’ve treated myself with an IPAD!! I’m thrilled to have treated myself with such a big purchase and this is only the beginning of my journey in life! Writing blogs on an IPad is SO fun! This week I’ll be turning 18, soon I’ll be moving away, I believe my story has only just begun and I can’t stop myself from smiling so much. 

In about two weeks I’ll be going off for my first year of college, and for the first time in forever, I’m excited for school. I attended a catholic high school, so not having a uniform makes me feel like a little bird fleeing its cage. Not only that- but I’ve gotten my own place with my own lease and landlord!! Being able to stretch my wings will be such a liberating feeling, I’m sure of it. 

As for my social life, I’m stumped on how to go about it. I don’t connect with people at all and tend to have only one close friend, but after high school my hope in others has been completely killed. If I refuse to make any friends I’ll find someone I believe to be the “one exception” and get stuck in the same situation as every other friend. Who knows what I’ll do. 

The more I read NANA, the more I feel like Hachi— which is someone I do not want to be like, but am.
