Anyone here find Discord servers overwhelming?

Idk maybe I’m just weird because technically when I join a server I don’t have to view every single channel or send a message in general chat but it’s so hard not to at the very least check the notifs in that server. I honestly don’t understand how some people can be in like a million different servers and not compulsively check each and every one of them. 

I used to use Discord a lot but then I left a certain server, joined a different one but that one got shut down for reasons I will not disclose and later on some people I knew made their own server but it had weird people in it so I left that too. Now I only talk to people in dms, one person I frequently talk to actually is in a server with people I used to be sorta close with but I felt like it was better I didn’t join so I can focus more on myself mentally (which obviously didn’t work much)
