First ever blog entry on this site, just felt like posting.

Persona 4 is a hellhole to play. Today i felt like picking it up since i only got through like a short amount of the game, but that gameplay was the most tiring thing i've done this week. I had better fun when i was literally burning up like a kiln yesterday. Sure, the jokes were pretty funny, but when i got to the dungeon, it felt like the most tiring thing ever.

How did i manage to get through the other dungeons earlier? it shouldn't take 3 hours to get through there, but no, it did. every single corner i moved to there was another shadow. i open a door, shadow - i get to a staircase, shadow - i open a chest, shadow. and whenever i die i have to navigate that floor all over again, i cant even talk about the floors themselves they're literally hypnotizing in the bad way. every turn i ask myself "did i go here already?" because there is literally no difference to any of the rooms, who the hell designs a dungeon like this? who thought that "oh, living quarters? kitchen? whats that? no, just make it the same 5 room layouts slightly arranged differently for 11 floors" like for gregory house's sake do you WANT people to get lost?

after 1 hour i decided to switch to controller so that maybe it'll be a bit easier, but that didn't change anything. i didn't even mention the battles themselves, every battle is one of two things: either we get player advantage, chie misses every attack and the whole thing lasts like 30 seconds - or there's an enemy advantage (sometimes for no reason) and they manage to literally obliterate us within the first 15 seconds and so me and one other member have to scrap for any sp and item in our inventory we have left for the next 3 minutes. this lasts for another TWO HOURS. by the end i was begging for the next floor to have the final shadow on there and for teddie to finally shut up "oh no yosuke! your health's low!" YEAH NO I SEE IT, I SEE IT, BUT DON'T YOU THINK I WOULD'VE HEALED HIM IF I COULD'VE?

finally on like sometime pm i got to the final shadow and ended my suffering after another ~15 minutes. it felt like being freed from prison, i seriously only got this game for yosuke, why would a game with yosuke be this hard? i don't know, maybe this is just the fever from yesterday talking

10/10 really liked the dungeon music would recommend
