Dream questions 

I love discussing dreams so I decided to start my blog entries with this topic and let y'all answer some questions too. Here are 5 questions including my answers.

1. Do you ever dream about being someone else in a dream? Who were you? What did it feel like and how did you know it wasn't 'you'? 

My experience: I have these dreams a lot and I always just happen to know that I am someone else. Most of the time I’m getting romantic or there is a lot of emotion towards another person if I am. I had a dream that I was one of my favorite band members and he straightly just went and kissed the other guy member. (Or not so straightly if u know what I mean) But I was not surprised about the fact that I had this dream because those guys keep kissing on stage in real life too so my mind probably picked it up from that.

The other time I was running from Pennywise from IT. However it wasn’t me. I was Richie from the movie helping Eddie to escape together and I had really strong feelings about him. I went to almost sacrifice myself (Richie) trying to get Eddie’s inhaler back from the house Pennywise was in. When I woke up I knew it came from watching the movie a lot and the fact that Reddie (their shipname) is somehow canon in the movies.

But one time the dream was more random and unexpected. There was a guy that I saw in a video. He was a policeman and it was a funny unserious video where this guy was recording a police in his house explaining something. This guy recording just doesn't listen and answers the police calling him f*cking bald egghead. The video was so funny that I shared it with my friends and it became a joke between us. The video also made its way into my dreams. I looked into the mirror and was a random bald man in that dream. The whole morning I was wondering who that was. Then it hit me and I realized I was the policeman in this video I told about and it was hilarious. It was just so random but I knew it was from laughing at the video so much.

2. Have you ever been an item in your dream? What was it?

My experience: One time I was a pot in my dream. I had been playing eyes the horror game a lot and there is this mansion the player needs to escape. At the same time different kinds of creatures are chasing you. I was a pot in the mansion corridor and this creature 'Krasue' was passing by over and over again not seeing me obviously because I was an item, not a human. It was scary because every time I felt she would see me and the dream just kept going and going.

3. Can you control your dreams? If so, how do you do it and what do you usually change in your dreams? Is it scary? If you can't, would you like to be able to control your dreams?

My experience: Usually I can't but there was this one time I managed to do that. I was in a nightmare, started hearing strange noises in the woods. It was dark and I didn't find home. The voices were making me go insane. I suddenly realized this isn't true and started screaming ''I want to wake up!'' as loud as I could, making the sound echo in the woods while these strange sounds kept going. I managed to wake myself up and I was amazed. Finally I was able to do it. I'd love to be able to control my dreams sometimes to feel some comforting hugs and stuff but at the same time all the craziest and weirdest unexpected dreams are the most fun.

4. What was the dream you didn't want to wake up from? Did you manage to fall asleep and continue the dream if you tried?

My experience:  I have these a lot and I always try to fall asleep again. I have managed to to that sometimes but mostly it won't continue. Usually I'm at a concert or meeting my favorite celebrities. A few days ago I kept waking up a lot feeling sad and I felt I needed a hug. Then finally I had a dream where I saw one of my favorite guitarists Anton. I approached him and he hugged me tightly.  I woke up immediately. I'm often hugging my idols in my dreams.

5. Did you come up with a funny joke you remembered after waking up? Was it funny in reality or just something that 'dream you' thought was hilarious even if it didn't make sense?

My experience: I once woke up inside a dream. I was in my bed and it started burning but instead of panicking my mind in that dream went like ''Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?'' (Rammstein song title which means ''Do you want to see the bed in flames?'') I had been listening to Rammstein a lot and I was obsessed. Still am. But it is the only funny joke I remember and I still keep telling my friends how the 'dream me' was so funny and unserious.

Hopefully I will get some answers because I would love to read! If this blog post won't get any views at least I had fun writing it if nothing else :D
