Loneliness bores but does not betray

The boredom that loneliness brings is a reminder of the emptiness that underlies human existence. It is a mirror of our need for connection, of our inherent tendency to seek meaning in interaction with the other. Yet in its boredom, loneliness also offers a kind of loyalty.
