So apparently this autumn is our local theatre's last. Pretty depressing honestly, but it is what it is. It was a small theatre, I knew it was gonna die sooner or later.
But as I was hearing these news, my friend also happened to mention
that the theatre was selling their old costumes and props away. Ho-ly
shit.
I already knew it was gonna be a goldmine. So as soon as I
heard these news I put my clothes on and got going. Especially since I
seemed to be really late to the party, lmao. I heard about the thrift store on the last day about 2 hours
before the whole thing closed.
(Look at this cute shirt I found!!! I bought it but honestly after trying it on at home I figured it looks pretty silly on me... so idk what i'll do with it)
Going through all the old stuff was such a cool experience. Kind of bittersweet in a way, but nontheless it was so interesting to see all these clothes and try to imagine what kind of characters were played in them.
The quality and age of the items was so weirdly refreshing. Felt like I finally was in a "proper" thrift store again. Not to be one of those old people complaining about how things suck now and were better in the past. But nowadays it feels like flea markets and thrift stores are so cluttered with fast fashion that it's hard to actually find quality items.
These clothes had clearly been used for decades. And surprisingly a lot of them were still in really good condition. Of course there were some clothes that were so worn up and used that you really wouldn't wear it anymore... (Outside maybe a zombie halloween costume.) But there were so many gems here.
Now to my thrift finds!
I absolutely adored this strawberry teacup I happened to stumble upon. But I already have a set of very similar ones. No need for two more... but man were they cute T_T
(Here on the bottom picture u can see mugs of the set that I already own. Honestly I kinda prefer the ones on the top picture. If only it was a set of 4-6 mugs instead of two, I would have bought em 100%)
Then here you can see two skirts I bought for myself. I haven't been much of a skirt person for god knows how long. I think I stopped wearing them altogether after the age of what, 6? But I've been bringing them back slowly, and these were absolutely adorable.
We'll see if I have the guts to wear them outside. I think I look pretty nerdy, like some old teacher. Makes me a little self-conscious, but it ain't a biggie x)
(lol also excuse my dirty mirror T_T)
And lastly I got this old worn down sweater. It was in a pretty rough state but I think it has its own charm. Nice for a more relaxed or sporty outfit :]
Me and my mom had a huge pile of clothes all ending up to 20€ total. Not too bad in my opinion.
Apparently they're gonna open up another thrift store sometime later this year to get rid of the last scraps. And after that they're closing for good.
We'll see if I find anything interesting there...

No way!! You actually find a gold mine!! 0.0 I love that kind of aesthetic, I try to wear the same style in my work, but my clothes are not the same as yours. If you can keep continue to go and find more interesting clothes, I'll be watching!
