just finished "darius the great is not okay" and it was not okay

i thought the way depression was handled in this book was really well done, especially the dynamics between darius and his family, particularly with his dad. the author also did a great job addressing his insecurities, but the book was so monotonous. it was fun to see him in Iran, experiencing a completely different culture that I didn't know much about, but for most of the book, nothing really happens, and that was getting on my nerves. despite that, i liked the ending."
