i think just found my newest "next week's obsession" (ᗒ⩊ᗕ)
i came across the most recently put out cutest mix of good old betty spaghetty and lalaloopsy silly hair-esque dolls, they look absolutely terrifying in the stock photos but from the video reviwes and posts ive seen on reddit they're seriously so stinking cute...
just, LOOK HOW ADORABLEE!!

top row from left to right we have Teila, Piper, Saki;
then on the bottom there's Rory, Whitney, Tori.
i loooooove them, so much, im actually obsessed with Whitney and Tori. i kind of hate how half of the (current) line has a side pony...but, oh well, Whitney is absolutely gorg, id love to have her on display, but, unfortunately, i haaaate blind boxes, so the actual chances of me buying one are slim, imagine buying one to get that cunty ass, tomato or wasabi flavoured instant noodles inspired cuties, and getting Piper or Teila, id never live it down.
other than that, i have a love/hate relationship with the hair since, on one hand, they ate, on the other, i feel like they'd come apart so easily after a few minutes out in the air, they dont look like the kind of dolls that last... i like how they tried making different textured noodles tho! the harder plastic molds are also pretty detailed, so that's a plus.
other than that, i despiseeee how much plastic has been used to make the containers, although, sure, you can use them as stands, plus you can reuse the lid and chopsticks to make a parasol to complete the display, it's cute really, but im sure most of it will def be going straight to a landfill for most collectors, along with the useless aceessories that dont actually fit the dolls hands and dont provide much else to the experience ://
despite that, i adore most designs, the pouty lips, and how colorful they are. im def excited to see the rest of the future line!! ∑d(°∀°d)
🢃 in case anyone cares to check out a quick reddit thread about them 🢃

i fw like old dolls, like 1970 80s shit youd see in an antique shop nowadays.
whenever i think of dolls from the 70ish i think of tutti and todd from mattel which, supposedly, apart from looking a little devious, used to melt other dolls made of hard plastic on impact, truly wonderful times (i agree with you tho, those types of dolls are lovely)
