The Apple Magic Keyboard - Windows User perspective

Hey everyone,

thanks for tuning in once again.

Yesterday, I bought myself an Apple Magic Keyboard. After a long back and forth with my mind if I'd be able to afford this, I saw that the large version without Touch-ID "only" costs 105€ instead of 135€.

Fortunately, I still had an Amazon gift card laying around and found out it was 30€. I finally made the purchase and it actually arrived today morning.

Normally, I am quite averse at Apple, because they are so expensive and I dislike iOS (the most) and macOS (a little).

I don't think I could fully switch away from Windows ever.

On wednesday, I was visiting a friend and he has a Mac. I typed on his Magic Keyboard and my god. It just feels so great. I think the best word to describe it would be "the typing feels soft".

I connected it to my Windows Laptop via Bluetooth and it worked right out of the box. I was already really happy but when I found a tool online called "Magic Utilities", I was so insanely happy tbh.

I could switch the "command" key to be "Alt" and the the right "command" key to be "Alt Gr". Now the "option" keys both act as a Windows key.

And all of the volume and media buttons on the F-keys work.

My only two Apple devices are this keyboard and 2 iPods.

Thanks for reading and sorry if this was a bit cluttered.

I wrote all of this on the new keyboard btw :D

See you!
