I fixed my glasses! I made a Target run yesterday and bought a few things I needed, mostly super glue so I could fix my glasses. The glue has roughly finally set and I think the temple that broke off is more stable now than it was before. I had to google a glasses diagram so I could know what to call that part.
Additionally, I bought some apple cider vinegar. It's supposed to be a little fly trap that I can pour in a cup in my kitchen and flies drown in it. Except, I don't think it's working. I don't have a fly infestation but I'd rather see zero bugs in my kitchen than the 1-2 a day I've been seeing. I don't know where they're coming from but my apartment windows aren't the sturdiest so I assume they're flying in from outside. If anybody has any good advice on dealing with this please let me know!
I haven't been eating the best recently. I haven't been home that much, and when I'm one person cooking for myself it's hard sometimes to cook for 1-2 day bursts without having to worry about food going bad. Whether that be the meats in the fridge, the leftovers not getting eaten, produce rotting, I'm only one person and I can only eat so much in so much time. So I've been making do with chicken patties, Pasta Sides (which are very good, I managed to dress one up with some onions, tomato, and bacon last night), and my favorite: PB&J. I'm excited for my life to quiet down a bit so I have more time to cook proper meals and good food for myself again.
My friends and I started watching Video Game High School a few nights ago. It's an old internet series that is basically a teen drama except in this world all the sports and clubs are just different video game genres. For an old YouTube comedy series, the production value is incredible, the writing is really good, and the characters are strong if over the top much of the time. I really like it, and not just for the video game humor.
It's making me itch to watch a genuine, non-comedy based show that fits the VGHS vibe, but I don't really know where to start. If anyone has any show recs please share! In my mind I keep thinking Gossip Girl, I think the show fits that vibe in my head but I legitimately know nothing about it other than it was popular when I was a kid. Is it the kind of show I'm looking for? Not even sure.
My song of the day is "Punk's Dead" by SOFT PLAY. I heard it on the show playlist before a concert I went to a few months back and I really love it. I've been meaning to listen to more of their stuff, I really should get around to that.
