PSA - If you record music and take it seriously, you should strongly consider backing up your music on an analog format so that it is not lost to digital corruption and inevitable advancement of the technology. Steve Albini goes pretty in-depth on this, it's a very real thing that effects musicians who work primarily in the digital realm.
There's nothing wrong with recording, mixing, mastering etc. in the digital realm, I don't like analog for the "sound" or whatever, it's about archiving.
For instance, if you create EDM or IDM or something which is primarily consisting of VST instruments, kept inside of a DAW, you may want to consider eventually converting your digital creations to analog via an audio interface which can port up to 24 tracks into a 2" analog tape format. There are plenty of studios out there that can perform this, but if you respect your music and want it to be preserved in it's fullness for hundreds of years, consider it.
Thought I would make a post about something I'm passionate about for my first post on this website, my friend TBS just showed me this website and it's pretty sweet. Add me and fw me gang <3
