One year anniversary

Warm summer morning 

Sun kissing us with warm rays 

The familiar smell of a car air freshener 

Vividly colored flowers fill the back seat

Cheerful music dances around us 

Silence;

The soft flutter of a vibrant butterfly 

A cool breeze forcing the giant oak tree to wave 

Frosty dew freezes our feet as we march through the grass 

A cold headstone greets us

Salty tears add to the cold dew
