my take on “Adventure” (Spoilers!)

adventure is a game for the atari 2600. you search for a golden chalice and try to bring it back.

when i first booted up the game, it was pretty straightforward, grab the key and unlock the castle gates, right? i tried using the key and, it didn’t work. 

so i kept exploring and found another room with a dragon and a black key, i quickly grabbed the black key thinking it would work. unfortunately it didn’t work and i got eaten by the dragon. 0_o

i tried the yellow key again and, guess what? it worked.

turns out you need to make the key touch the gates.

inside the castle was an arrow which kills dragons. so i went back to the dragon guarding the black key and defeated the beast. 

so i grabbed the black key and went onto the other side.

sadly, another dragon awaited me and quickly defeated me. T_T

i reset the game, entered the castle, grabbed the arrow, killed the 2 dragons and grabbed the black key. then i entered a strange maze room. i tried to find the exit for a while until i noticed a strange bridge object. 

according to the manual this bridge can help you “pass through walls”.

i went back down and tried to pass the black border, although it didn’t work. i tried every other wall but it didn’t work. 

i simply just gave up with the bridge and finally found the exit to the maze!

over there, there was a black castle in a completely dark place. 

entering the castle i found a magnet and, the chalice!!!! :D.                                                         so i wandered back to the castle and beat the game!

overall it’s a pretty cool adventure game,  also a really nice puzzle game. i recommend you try it, 6/10.
