I am trying to accommodate my mental illness by wearing ear plugs and changing out my clothing to stuff that I find more soft and comfortable. I am mitigating my issues with over-stimulation and I'm learning to keep certain things to myself and to not engage with things that upset me.
I was a very brave boy today, going to an eye appointment all by myself. That is incredibly hard to do when I'm by myself, but I managed. I'm finding that re-reading the Satanic Bible helps regulate my emotions when I'm on the verge of becoming overwhelmed so I've taken to carrying it around with me to pull out when I need it. The same can be said for Sudoku puzzles, and I carry around a big book of them and a pencil most of the time too.
I was incredibly frustrated by the Pearson website today. Everything is a subscription with + at the end of it these days, and I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I couldn't afford the textbooks outright so I just ended up paying the subscriptions. I think you should be able to buy things and own them, which is why I'm such a huge proponent of physical media. When I can afford to, I'll be switching to physical textbooks, because I hate the computer copies. I also think it was stupid to not let me add everything to a cart and pay for them all at once.
Now that I'm done rambling like a crazy person, I'm gonna go lie down and stare at the ceiling till I go to sleep.

Oh my gosh, I can relate so hard! I really hate going places alone, I can't bring myself to go the the store even if it's on the way and I really need or want something. I can do the dentist, I can do college, and I can mostly do the vet. Anywhere else freaks me out.
I'm actually pretty cool with digital media, but that's because I'm a proponent of downloading a PDF copy or epub. For free, if possible (it's usually possible).
But Pearson's dumb + services are actually such bull. I still have to go rent my frickin homework for this stupid class I already paid for, it's so annoying.

I think that online media is cool, its just when you can only purchase a license to look at it, like with Pearson +. I think downloads of files are just fine usually.
