Howdy folks. I think I want to get myself into the habit of blogging. I don't necessarily want to jump into talking about my mental health and philosophies on the world or any nutty stuff like that (although I could say a lot) but I want to force myself to blog the happenings of my life. I like doing this stuff, but it's hard to force myself to do things sometimes even when I enjoy them. Anyways, here's two days in the life of me.
I went shopping yesterday. I scrounged up some money that I wanted to spend on some new clothes, along with needing to stop at some more essential stores along the way. I started off at a dispensary, which IDK how in depth I'm allowed to go about substances like that on a site like this so I won't get too detailed. But it was definitely not what I expected, everything was so formal and upscale. It felt like I was buying medicine. Anyway I bought something, really just to say I bought something and have the experience since I'm freshly 21. I tried the stuff last night too but I wasn't really feeling it, I think getting high just isn't for me anymore. Idk. Maybe I'll try a smaller dose and see how it feels sometime soon.
Anyways, after that I went to the mall! I had two pairs of Vans that I got two-ish years ago. One pair was bright pink and beautiful (Linked here, repping Lizzie Armanto was fun) until I wore them to a concert and they got totaled. So since then, I really had one pair of Vans. I've wanted a new pair for a while but after tossing the idea around in my head for a week I pulled the trigger. If I decide I want something one day, I try and give myself a few days of really being certain I want it before I make a big purchase. I used that strategy on my PS5.
So anyway, I bought two new pairs, both on sale. One pair is just black and pink, kinda filling the gap of my old pair but in a very different style (neon pink is my favorite color). The other is a REALLY cool Pride themed shoe (link) that I've wanted since actual Pride month. I didn't skip it intentionally, just didn't have the money till now. It worked out though since I got this one on a discount since it was out of season.
After that I went to Zumez. I ended up buying a new shirt and a pair of jeans. I don't really have many jeans, and the ones I do have are all very samey-fitting Hollister jeans that I don't think fit the style I wear as much as they used to. I like the Hollister pants, they're comfy, I still wear them, but I want more pairs that fit who I am now too. So I bought a baggier pair. And apparently there was a BOGO 50% off deal, so I bought the shirt full-price and the $70 pants were knocked down to $35. Pretty sweet deal. I talked to the worker about style, music, and some other cool stuff for a bit while shopping and in the end he drew me a picture of Fred Durst Spongebob.
After that I walked past Lush. LUSH IS DOING A MINECRAFT COLLAB!!! I bought a TNT bath bomb that literally looks like a TNT block. I can't wait to use it. Lush always has the nicest workers too, because the bath bomb was only $5.50. They usually give out samples of stuff with purchases so I asked if they had any samples, and the workers gave me a FULL NEW TMNT BODY SCRUB BAR. That's a $13 bar that they gave to me for free on an order worth less than half of the scrub bar's price. I love Lush so much.
After that was basic. I grabbed some stuff from the pet store, and I hit up the grocery store mainly for some frozen chicken nuggets, but I also saw the Pepsi soda on a crazy deal so I stocked up on soda. My house now has a comfortable amount of Baja Blast, Major Melon, and the new Pepsi Lime (which is very good, go try it).
That more or less concluded yesterday, besides spending some time at night talking to friends. Today I went to the local Six Flags! I wore my new shoes from yesterday (the pink ones) which was a mistake because now my feet hurt. I need to break them in more before I do this much walking in them again for sure. The rides were fun, it was nice getting to see some of my old work friends (I used to work there), but damn I was exhausted afterwards. My feet still hurt, I never want to stand up or walk anywhere ever again. I have less to say about today because it felt very standard in my eyes. There's not so much to say about the park that isn't negative and I'd rather not be negative about it so I'm holding back. If anyone is reading this and is big into coasters too and wants to hear me complain, let me know and I can rant for hours LOL.
I got Taco Bell afterwards. The $7 box is such a good deal, but it's also so much food. I had to force myself to finish it and I have not been hungry since even though I was planning to eat dinner. I should have wrapped the last taco and brought it home or something. Anyway, I came home and showered, which felt very nice. I should have taken a bath but I can always take one tomorrow.
I think this sums up my day. If you read this whole thing, thank you very much for caring. As a bonus, my new obsession: H-O-T-T-O-G-O. I know Chappell Roan is EVERYWHERE now and this song is very popular, but it's such an incredible song. If it came out this year it would be my song of the year. It's so cool to me that between Chappell, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, and probably some others that I am a bad person for forgetting, so much blatantly queer music has become so popular now. It makes me feel much more optimistic about queer acceptance than doomscrolling Twitter and seeing so many transphobes all day.
