primordials and christianity im sad about it

the concept of 32 different primordial souls, everchanging and ever reincarnating, loving and warring and being the greatest spectacles of magic, was too much for the mortals of earth, universe zero.

so, they created their own gods, two of them, a frankenstein of traits. good and evil, light and dark, love and hate, despite none of those being mutually exclusive.

they wrote the stories of their gods, how even the dark was once the lightbringer, how the light once resided in darkness and only the darkness. they rewrote, translated, rewrote again, the stories of magic and hope that could only be seen as fantastical as the mortals of the future faded, almost replaced by creatures who could not embrace their own gods as they were created.

soon, the souls were shunned, for those mortals and robots began to shape their gods to fit the ideals that had corrupted them. those gods were pushed further and further into their traits, while the souls that had inspired the gods were pushed away, denied for just how powerful they were, soon sealed away by the mortals they had motivated once upon a lifetime.
