For the record, my first language isn't English - so the stuff I am about to write here may make little to no sense. Also, stuff I am about to write here may be a little controversial to some of the audience - don't get why, but anyway.
Hey my beautiful pals, I am Reshma, they/he from Poland and I am about to dump my brain clutter, into your brain to clutter it instead. Or more likely, finally get a night rest, after many sleepless nights while thinking over this stuff.
OKAY, BUT WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT TODAY?
PEOPLE DON'T HAVE GOOD ATTENTION SPANS ANYMORE, YOU KNOW?
Yeah. I wanted to talk about aesthetics/subcultures and all of these stupid 'tab' things. Yes, aesthetics/subcultures are an important part of life - they make a person feel involved in some community, and not alone. Cute, good for you! But please, don't drag me out and call me a poser, over wearing something that resembles some 'aesthetic'.
Because no, Britanny, I am not gonna throw away half of my wardrobe, because it looks 'goth' and 'how dare I wear something of a subculture I am not part of?!'
I am part of my own "subculture" then. Leave me alone in my goth-emo-gyaru-idontknowilooklikehomelesseminem bubble that is my 'aesthetic', my 'subculture', and my life. What is so wrong with that? Why do suddenly people treat it like a life-and-death situation? I don't insult you, I don't call you a weirdo, I just wear what I want and have fun. I wear what makes me feel comfortable.
But I guess I am a real nightmare for people who love those tabs, tables, labels - or fuck knows how this stuff is called.
A nonbinary omnist, not really supporting any political system, and not really into any 'aesthetic' of life.
Don't get me wrong, I have my own rules, which I think I can write about in another post, if ANYBODY is curious, but anyway.
I just...don't get it. I don't keep up with those people anymore. I just want to feel comfortable and do what makes me feel happy without those 'LOOK A POSER' people. I don't care, really, I'm not going to change my whole life 180 degrees, because of some becca.2137.tiktokstar feels 'offended' that I have a sweater/t-shirt of the band I like, but I'm not part of the aesthetic/subculture this band is promoting. And I thought I was the chronically online one.
Sorry for this chaotic mess. If anybody wants to ask about anything I can answer.
