the beginning of 7月 to muung means.....(ﾟ▽ﾟ)

revisiting my formal introduction to vocaloid music (⁠ ⁠/⁠^⁠ ⁠^⁠)⁠/⁠♪⁠♪

i came across these two megurine luka vids in 2009 and continue coming back every first-week-of-this-month like clockwork. like this month is not real until i watch these vids

15周年～☆

&.......anime expo (*-*)

i have not been back since 2016 but still enjoy seeing posts about it^^

got the usual ax updates on twt/tiktok and saw a glimpse of princess tutu cosplay (  'o') and realized that is a piece of media i vaguely remember Except the premise of the last episode → watched princess tutu again to clarify any discrepancies

certainly splendid as i remember (.^＿^.)

but deeper than i thought.......!

my main takeaway was it's classical music ♫♪˚ and design

& also prompted a rabbit hole of generating a watchlist for fantasy and magical animes including finally finishing Madoka★Magica after 3 yrs of delaying myself (i need Walpurgisnacht: Rising out now -3- )

which is rare for me to do because i only gravitate towards those themes for nostalgia purposes (shugo chara, etc)

finally figured out how to export from my new camcorder (i was dumb and my shots did save to my sd card)

the biggest Win of this month being.... hello kitty mp3 revival!!!!

when it arrived i unboxed it sooo gently & while turning it on i held my breath and made sure not to make any sudden movements(?) because of last time........(.  _.   )....reference to 12/2023 blog

i only transferred 35mb of songs because last time i think i overloaded it too much? i don't know but i was able to play my entire list without any interruptions: we are BACK (＾＿－)☆3～♪♪♪

i was home most of the time so i was the closest to them out of all my roommates (v ^ー°)

saying goodbye was difficult but i don't think i could be a long time pet owner unless they are trained because i would be so paranoid about their safety running around the house & im super sensitive to smell

further refining my otaku tendencies～

by enjoying mutsumi sasaki bishoujo art as of late 

tunneling vision on the simple color palette, matured moe girls, and visual novel look

also eliminates the subtle guilt i have when i enjoy a character design but not watch the anime even though i feel obligated too-but-never-go-forward-in-understanding

exhibit 1: i have a figure and poster of chi but did not read nor watch chobits Hrm

on that note, i take choosing desktop wallpapers (especially) as such a serious and debilitating task, essentially i'm very particular and change 4-6 times a year depending on the weather/season

like certain seasons call for different desktops:

➀ spring: solid colors with brighter designs (fanart, etc) 

➁ summer: more variation in colors, also slightly more bright and saturated colors. more otaku leaning because since i'm not on campus(usually) i don't need to act like i'm normal 

➂ fall: white&black or darker elements, simpler with a hint of pink occasionally 

➃ winter: more 00s leaning images with white or pink are my go-to* 

*the most difficult season for me to choose because its my favorite season and my vibes are very dependent on this

【2024/07/29】: my 21st bday★

feeling shoujo plus /josei tag is the best way i could put it.......?

i still feel young (now mentally age of 19 instead of 17) but with added adult responsibilities &freedoms~ & confusion & weird coolness factor(?) as i think 21 and 22 are the prettiest ages 

but we are not fully josei until i graduate undergrad grad school*

*do not trust the current job market ( _ω_)......

kept the birthday celebrations light day of because it was on a monday (boo) & moving out no the 31st but went to taco tuesday with my friend the day after (one of the reason why we even became friends was because the first time we met we realized our bdays were only a day apart) and each bouncer made a comment about this asking if we were sisters also bcs we have the same home zip code in la when we are fully different colors of each other (＾0^*LOL

also, riize japan debut on my bday Highly digs

this is my top bday present this year :3

the best yes bday present would be any rhythm musical clock 2be real

listening to the prettiest tunes every hour would be the best shoujo winter feeling ♪(´∀｀∩～～

but at the average cost of a whole band, maybe when i graduate
