hmmm... depends on the horror subgenre. A super cool (but kinda gory) one is Evil Dead (The original + the 2013 remake, both r super rad).

i saw the tv glow !! <- psychological horror also w/ amaazing cinematography like actually awesome also mid 90s and lisa frankenstein r 2 of my all time favs!!!
also if youve seen istvg ive heard we're all going to the world's fair is good too!! its by the same director but i think significantly more unsettling (also the scores by alex g soo)
