The struggles of an inner scene kid

So my thing for a long while was Frutiger Aero, and it still is, but FA only has so much around it, and it, being a corporate aesthetic, didn't quite have a proper culture around it. It never had the same effect on society as things like emo culture, goth, punk, and alt subcultures have had. That being said, I'm a die hard scene kid. I love the fashion. I love the colors. I love the creative freedom. I'd also love to embrace it, buuuuuut...

Hair.
I'm mexicanese and white. My hair is NOT straight. My grandma's isn't straight, mine isn't straight, my great great grandma's wasn't straight, etc. It's skipped a generation for as long as our family can remember to tell. Unfortunately, i also have a cowlick on the right side of my head that I physically cannot do much about because it either puffs up or regains itself. Both suck. Now, I've tried training it away with varied success, but as far as that goes, no. My hair is also long. Like... it's mid shoulderblades, and when it's straightened it reaches halfway down my back. Now, this freakin blows! I want short stylized hair, but it's not easy and would take effort! Not that it's effort i wouldn't put in. I probably would, but the point stands that I'm putting enough effort in already. I also am not sure if i wanna blatantly show off my attachment to cringe culture like that so blatantly until i'm out of High, which is two more years.

I'm kinda just screaming into the void XD If you guys have any suggestions, hit me! I'd love to hear help with my hair, different styles, dye schemes, etc. My hair is deep black and I've never bleached it before. 1c at top, 2b at my jaw.
