i started watching mob psycho 100. i'm late to the party but i heard it was good. and i agree! i like its visual style, with the painted and pencil looking scenes. mob's a cute kid and i think his struggle with his emotions and psychic powers is very real to the experience of being 12 years old. i liked seeing the conflict between him and ritsu. my only criticism is that things happened really fast, from the first episodes with mob and reigen doing exorcisms i expected some more monster-of-the-week type stuff before going straight to confronting the Big Bads. teru's change in character also seemed to come out of nowhere, like the reasoning followed but changing his entire worldview after one fight is pretty far fetched. i assume this is due to time constraints, maybe the pacing was better in the manga? i might go read it after i finish the show. despite being a comic enthusiast and a passive anime fan i've never actually read any manga...
