HELLOO!!
This is my review of Denmark and my summer trip there!
So we had planned a family vacation to Denmark for this summer brake where we would visit Legoland and a safari.
First we traveled to Helsinki and spent a night there, from there we took an airplane (the airport was not fun. They took me for a random check, it wasn't even bad but my fragile self couldn't handle it.) to Copenhagen (but we didn't stay there for long) from there we took a train to Billund where we stayed in a hotel. The next day we visited Legoland, I took a lot of pictures but I haven't posted any yet. I also bought a lot of stuff, a Ninjago Cole plushie (I've been wanting one for a bit now), a Ninjago Jay flashlight figure and a Ninjago Kai keychain with flashlight legs (I put him on my backpack). Then we ate at the family restaurant there, the food was great although I wasn't able to get any chicken because there was a worker cutting the peaces for you (I was too scared to ask for a peace). We didn't really go on the rides, I only went like on a one ride. It was fun!
The next day we went to the Safari, it was one of the highlights of this whole trip. We saw all kinds of animals like monkeys, bears, zebras, giraffes, some cow looking things, lions, pinguins and rhinos. My favourites were probably the penguins and monkeys, they were so cute!
We also visited a dinosaur side they had, ofc there wasn't any real dinos but it was still really cool because some of them were massive/huge.
Then on our last day in Denmark we visited Legoland one more time. I took more pics and we went on a fun ride (it wasn't really a ride but one of those immersive type of movie things, idk). Then we ate at the same restaurant again. And I don't really remember much else other than that I bought a Voldemort keychain (I picked a batman one as well but had to give it to my dad because it would be unfair if I had two and my sister had just one).
Some things that I don't remember when they happened was that we walked around the area where they have all kinds of shops, we were supposed to eat sushi at a place with a server robot but it was full, luckly there was another sushi place near by so we went there instead. The sushi restaurant was on the umbrella street, the one where the umbrellas are like hanging over the street. Btw, what is it with Denmark and umbrellas? Anyway, sadly I don't remember the sushi restaurants name, I just remember that we ordered by using a tablet and that the food and staff were great.
At one point we were waiting at a bus stop that had spiders everywhere on it, like big ones too. in the buss my dad took a small spider off my shoulder, eww.
The whole time we were at Denmark it was super sunny and hot, I even suprisingly got a tan!
I couldn't help but notice how patreotic Denmark was, we went to a grocery store near us and they had their flag everywhere and on everything, like we get it everything is made here. Jeez! Also it was weird how they don't use clamps to put pastries into a bag but you have to take a plastic glove and grab the food, what a waist of plastick. Also everything on the TV was in Danish, it's such a weird language sounding like swedish, norvegian, french, chinese and japanese combined. The place we stayed at also felt really empty and spaced out with nothing really there and kinda brutalistic(?). But at times the nature was really pretty and European, with lush forests and hills rising all around, a lot of feilds and farm houses. We also saw a lot of airplanes taking off because Legoland was near the Billund airport. Also we were not constantly traveling by bus, my dad got a rentall car for us to make travelling with luggage easier.
About travelling on plane. My dad finds the consept of planes enjoyable and cool, and yeah it is but I just hated the feeling of my nose feeling like it was dryed and was going to bleed, that my theeth were about to fall of, my eye exploding and my ears crunching. Luckly nothing bad happened and the view was cool and beautifull because I love clouds<3 Besides the plane ride back home was smoother than the one to Denmark, at the airport we looked for soveneirs (magnets), made three custom Lego minifigures and I got food. The Finnair blueberry juice was soo good, my friends had praised it and they weren't lying.
Back at Helsinki I felt super tired and was so done with it all. The breakfast was great and the trainride back home went bit better than the one when we first started our trip (I faught with my yunger brother if the curtain should be open or closed).
So all and all it was a great trip and I had mostly a really good time. Ofc all trips and days have their downsides but I wanted to keep this as a positive post :)
I would give Denmark like idk 3.5/5 stars, but who am I to judge, I am not aprofessional at all.
And now I am back home and have been already for a bit now. School started and I kinda skipped the two days because I felt terrible Thursday and went home early and the next day I was supposed to skip only two first classes when they played those stupid games with the newcomers, but I accidentally missed the last of the classes as well because I wasn't watching the clock. But on monday I actually have to go to school, so :(
But at least I had a fun summer trip. Yay :D
TLDR: Denmark Was fun because of Legoland and Ninjago merch, I also liked the sushi and scenery there. I don't like spiders. I hate airports and the security. I didn't like the plane ride untill I got the Finnair (free) blueberry juice. 3.5/5 stars. I had fun at the safari there because I saw cool animals.
