WAYS OF HOW PTV CREATED THEIR SONGS

Lately, I've been reading these old Kerrang! magazines from 2015, one of them was talking about how PTV (Pierce The Veil) created some of their hit songs, like what was the story behind those songs?

1) Yeah Boy and Doll Face (from a flair for the dramatic)

Vic has revealed that him and Mike wrote most of their songs from a flair for the dramatic on their own- without Tony and Jamie, because those were written for Before Today (they're band before Pierce The Veil)

This song was one of the songs written for Before Today. Vic wrote it for a girl he used to talk to for a few months and then she completely disappeared. He even thought she died! She didn't answer his texts and didn't pick up his calls so he wrote this about her, he said he still doesn't know what happened to her.

2) King For A Day (feat: Kellin Quinn) (from collide with the sky)

Pierce The Veil was getting many requests from fans on twitter to make a song with Kellin Quinn, at first the band didn't even know who Kellin was, so they ignored their requests and then this had been going on for several month, they didn't stop requesting so then they tried to contact him when they were making their album, they kinda worked out the whole thing on the phone and then Vic sent him a recording with his part.

And that's how they featured Kellin!

The whole song is basically about people who control others because they have more power, that's why it became a hit! Many people now and then feel that why so they put that in a song that perfectly described the feeling.

3)Hold On Till May (feat: Lindsay Stamey)

Vic wrote this song for a friend of his who was neglecting by her parents. She would climb a tree next to her house and wait for her parents to look for her, or even care about where she went. That's why there's this part that says ''Mom and dad are you searching for me? I've been up here so long I'm going crazy'' That's when she was up the tree. And at the beginning of the song they describe the tree and the branches/

4) Bulls In The Bronx

This song was writing for a fan who d!ed. After she committed su!c!de, her friends tried to contact Vic and tell him that she d!ed and they thought she would've been happy if they told Pierce The Veil. So they felt bad for her so they did make a song about her because she was a big fan.

I think they talked about Caraphernelia too...it was basically about Vic's ex-girlfriend. He mixed up her name (Cara) with (phernelia) because he can't really forget her.

Well, that's what I understood.

I hope this helped you learn the story about the songs!
