back in an old campaign of mine, i played a tiefling rogue/bard who was probably the biggest dumbass in the entire campaign. one of the other players, my bf, played an artificer who found a magic wrench that could bring whatever it hit to life on a crit ( nat 1 made the creation hate him and want him dead, nat 20 made the creation view him as a father figure ). anyway, the party found an orb of animation, a metal orb that could be programmed to form any material around itself and create like a golem of that material. my dumbass rogue convinced this artificer to use the wrench on it because having a sentient machine that could control any material around it would be FUCKING SICK so he hit it with the wrench. and got a nat 1. so then my rogue had to roll strength to keep it from hitting the floor and animating an entire building that wanted us all dead. nat 20. so then the orb starts animating MY ROGUE and the artificer panics and hits it AGAIN. NAT 20. it continued animating me. so for the rest of the campaign i played a rogue bard warforged tiefling who viewed my boyfriends character as her father
