i know that this is popular in the screamo and metalcore scenes to break up 2-3 years after forming, but i dont get why. many of these bands seem to have not reached their full potential (i.e. xnomadx, since my beloved, septemberistheonlytimeidontthinkofyou, etc) there are plenty more. but this does not make me more hyped to listen to their music. i just think it is wild how it is a common theme to break up so soon. wish all of these bands had more music.
WHY DO BANDS BREAK UP SO EARLY

not everything lasts forever, i dont listento bands but most collectives (i will not be naming them but Theyre obvious) Disbanded for Drama issuses, personal problems inside the groups and just hatred and other stuff, at the end of the day a band is not a single person and if 1 member starts looking elsewhere the whole collective itself could easily fall apart

also lets say 1 member of a said band leaves most fans r gonna be like "why did he leave noo he was my favorite" etc etc and it still causes problems even if the said band is still intact without every single member the band is just a former shadow of what it was

Personal issues, not enough time, loss of motivation... The list goes on. It's probably that bands were made for an entertaiment for free time for the band members but probably just not enough commited to keep going with it. My own opinion!

youre right i just get sad when my favorite bands dismember before i think they reach their full potential but i can see why this is important to consider too, like their personal lives, i just feel that the art is greater than that. but then again i am not in their position and couldnt say what i would do, so who am i to be upset with their decision

Being an emo music fan is rough If there isn't any groomer or pedophile, then the band probably disbanded before I even learned to talk.
