Currently reading Dracula by Bram Stoker

Spoilers until chapter 4! 

I was already expecting a queercoded/homoerotic relationship because like this IS a gothic novel from the 19 century  but this aint gay anymore, this is homosexual

Like my boy Jonathan was describing the Count and out of nowhere Dracula leans over him and his hands start "touching" Jonathan and he starts talking about Dracula's breath. At first i was like okay blood and stuff, you know? but after Dracula backs off he opens the door to Jonathan's room (i assumed it was as a nice gesture so Jonathan can enter) BUT HE >DRACULA< ENTERS?? WHATS YOUR BUSINESS IN THERE SIR?? And if it was only that it would still be fine, but Jonathan starts saying that he has "doubts, fears, thoughts that he cannot confess even to his soul"??? WHAT THOUGTHS?? HOMOSEXUALITY?????? After that, Dracula even left a little note to Jonathan in the morning like COME ONNNN And all of this happeened in ONE(1) PAGE BROOO IT'S TO MUCH

On another day, three (other) sexys vamps (womans, idk if that matters tho) were trying to suck Jonathan's blood and dracula LITERALLY SAID "GO AWAY, THIS MAN BELONGS TO ME" HELLO???/?/ WHERE ARE THE BOOKTOK GIRLYS THEY ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS ONE 🗣🗣🗣‼️‼️

And Dracula is so silly and toxic, like bro said to Jonathan that he could enter every door that wasn't locked then procceded to lock EVERY door😭😭😭

This book MIGHT be the first Dark Romance ever, i was not expecting this

Jonathan's also really funny describing Dracula's "Lizard Fashion" way to climb walls LMAO

/btw this is A JOKE don't take it too seriously! ~ My honest thoughts untill now are that this is a great horror novel (I really like all of the descriptions of both characters and places) 

My poor Jonathan just wants to run away and see his gal again lol somebody help himm 😭

Maybe i'll update this when i read more, who knows

Chapter 5 spoilers!

WHY IS EVERYONE IN LOVE WITH EVERYONE??

Lucy wanting to marry all 3 guys is so iconic, I can't wait to see more of Arthur (the guy she actualy chose) becouse i know more about the other two then i know about him!

AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "Won't you let this be at my campfire tomorrow night?" (referring to drinking) MORRIS?? SEWARD IS ALSO COMING? AND YOUR DEAR ART (as you call Arthur) RESPONDED WITH "Count me in every time. I bear messages which will make both your ears tingle." !!??!

Why are all three of you in love with Lucy AND each other?? 

And judging by Lucy's "Why can't they let a girl marry three men" and "I could have loved him for if I had been free" SHE ALSO WANTS THEM. All four should just get together and stop writing such dramatic and symbolic love letters. 

Why all men in this book are Bisexual? And why more then half of them love Lucy? My girl has to be gorgeouse

so much stuff happened but my favorite part was probably the captain's log it fr changed me.

ALSO MINA AND MY BOY JONATHAN FINALLY GOT MARRIED🎉🎉🎉 i love them so much im so happy jonathan is okay but i do hope he runs into Dracula again and freak out over it lmaoo

I love the plot with Dr Seward's patient, i wonder how does he know about the vamp stuff and why does he sees Dracula (I presume) as his master or at least wants to be his servant

And dont get me started on poor lucy!! The day she went out sleepwalking at night and encounters Dracula (I presume) was also one of my fav parts (why not me) I had never seen a vampire (in films, tv shows, etc) go back to the same victim every night and never finish them off completely, and honestly I'm obsessed! Oh Bram Stoker the writer that you are. 

Van Helsing is so fucking cool, I love him sm!! I love how he figured it out that Lucy's sickness was the work of a vampire so fast but he aint telling anyone because of the absurd situation lol He's an icon, i just want him and jonathan to meet and talk about the Count😩😩

Speaking of icons Dracula sure is one! I miss his silliness on Jonathan's diaries😔

Chapter 12 spoilers!

So everyone died... okay, only Lucy's mom, Arthur's dad, Mr Hawkings (RIP) and Lucy herself BUT NOT BEFORE TURNING INTO A VAMPIRE HELLO???? CALLED IT🗣🗣🗣 (ask my irl friends👅) 

And i was so sure she would be able to bite Arthur and they would be like a vamp couple or something😵‍💫 The way I screamed when Van Helsing protected Arthur's neck lmaoo

can't wait to read more!

Chapter 13 and 14 spoilers! - these were definitely my favorites until now omg

Van Helsing at Lucy's funeral showing why he is my fav character (If we don't count Jonathan, ofc)  I fr love a mysterious old guy with a sad backstory. 

And don't worry dude i also laugh when Art said that the blood transfusion made her his bride lmao poor guy

I'll miss dr Seward's diarys, they definetly weren't my favs but they almost felt like a third person point of view. Bram Stoker is so good at showing the characters personalities through their diarys and logs omg

alsoooooo is that lady actualy Dracula's gals or is Lucy not quite dead yet... just thinking out loud...

AND YESSSSSSSSSSSS JONATHAN AND DRACULA REUNITED BABYYYYYY (kinda of) the important thing is that my boy Johnny saw the Count (AND FREAKED THE FUCK OUT)!!!

AND MINA AND DR VAN HELSING MY FAV DUO LOVE THEM SO MUCH! Van Helsing's paragraph after mina saying he dosent know her omg i love him so much 

Mina knowing all the times for the trains just in case is so cute god I love her

Reading old books is so funny cuz sometimes there's stuff like this "Dr. Van Helsing, what I have to tell you is so queer that you must not laugh at me or at my husband.[...]" like oh "it" definetly is Mina...
