unpopular sonic opinions (tw: misogyny, queerphobia, pdf files)

1. people in this fandom need to stop hating on new things for no reason. y'all shot down the knuckles show, superstars, and prime so quickly and for what. like yea they may not be perfect but they were fun and, imo, dare i say it, good. 

especially prime which was Way too dark to be even remotely similar to mickey mouse clubhouse and had the best characterization of shadow since 2006!

2. the misogyny in this fandom really needs to be addressed. it's a serious problem. cuz why does every female character in this fandom get held to impossibly high standards and shit on literally just for having flaws (ex: amy, lanolin, etc). you can just... not like them as characters. you don't need to make up bullshit excuses to justify it.

and then the female characters will also get sexualized to all hell even if they're minors or Literal Children. (ex: literally all of them)

3. queerphobia in this fandom is also an issue. like why is it when y'all don't like a het ship it's "idk it's just not really my cup of tea" but when it's a slash or femslash ship it's "EWWWW I HATE THEM!" kinda sus. and god forbid people have trans headcanons. who's the snowflake now, me or the person whose brain just exploded on impact after seeing sonic with top surgery scars?

4. if you ship tails, cream, or kit with anyone who isn't the same age or close in age to them you're a proshipper. just call a spade a spade ffs.

5. in my home on native land (canada) cp (the other kind not club penguin) is illegal, including if it's fictional. which is how it should be everywhere, and that INCLUDES tails, amy, etc. yes i know sega retconned the ages but it's still pretty obvious that, for example, amy is in the 12-14 age range and tails is in the 7-9 age range. so i don't wanna hear any more excuses, dan schneider.

6. sonic says: cringe culture is dead. ship your ocs with canon characters as much as you want. no one cares, and if people do they really just need to touch grass.
