How I blog without a Smartphone

Today I'd like to talk to you about how I blog without a smartphone.

yes I really don't have a smartphone. 

This is my phone 

It's called KYOCERA DIGNO 3 (902KC)

It runs on a super simplified version of Android 8, so it can run some apps, but not a lot, and it has to be sideloaded.

basically, I only use it for messaging and calling.

But, it can take pictures! 

so I always use it to take my outfit photos.

then I can upload the images to Imgur to move them to my computer. 

If you also want to get a flip phone, I recommend that you go to r/dumbphones and JUST READ the pinned posts and the recent posts before you ask anything.

By the way, the Galaxy Folder 2 doesn't work in the USA. I know someone will ask.

I got it on EBay for $16

It takes very nice photos honestly, better than all my friend's smartphones.

the laptop I use is 「CHUWI HEROBOOK」

which I got on EBay for $198

I thought for sure it would be a scam but actually it's a great laptop and perfect for blogging. 

most importantly it has a microSD card slot!!!!

So I always offload the photos from my digicam to this laptop, even if I usually blog from my desktop.

I host all my images for SpaceHey on postimages.org

for the でコメ (the graphics) I use, I mostly collected them all from old jp blogs of models or fashion girls I followed, or from a site that collected images posted on jp blog sites. unfortunately, the biggest jp blog site AND the site that collects images are both defunct now, so I'm really glad I saved them now.

For years now I have been running a blog on Blogspot.

I think that blogspot is a good site if you don't know how to code because it does almost everything for you. 

...and I don't know how to code .

but if you know how to code I think something like neocities is better, because you can really change everything to look like how you want it.

as for SpaceHey, I think it's good just because it's a captive audience. 

I can't force people to come read my blog, but I can count on people happening upon my profile or my blog on SpaceHey. 

Why did I talk about this even though it's like all common sense? 

well I'm really passionately anti-smartphone and I want to encourage more people to ditch them.

I think they're very bad for your mental health and they also make the internet sooooooo boring. 

I mean, compare the average SpaceHey profile to an instagram profile...

I think it's hard to walk away from the convenience of the smartphone though, especially in taking and posting pictures.

and also smartphones scam your brain into constant FOMO thinking that you will miss out on something important if you put it down for even a second. 

but I want to encourage that that's not true, and I literally barely look at my phone once every couple of days w.

I don't feel that I've missed out on anything since ditching the smartphone, and in fact I feel soooo much happier.

also so many young people are very obsessed with 'y2k' and '2000's', well obviously you can't live a 2000's life with an iPhone glued to your hand w

No one had any such a thing back then.

I really feel so much better without a smartphone and so I want to encourage you not to carry one anymore too.
