Post-Hardcore Project Looking for Bandmates and Collaborators

Hey, y'all! We're a San Marcos (TX)-based post-hardcore/emo band and multimedia project in search of new members. Looking for guitarists, bassists, and drummers. If you'd like to get in touch, message us, and fill out the interest formĀ here!

More info from the blog post on our website:

"The Paper Kingdom is a project that I've been trying to get off the ground for the past 3 years. After so much time trying to put things in motion and continually falling flat, most people would just give up, right? Well, not me. The Paper Kingdom is a project that I believe in. It's an entity with a life of its own, like a sleeping dragon on a pile of gold. I've spent so many years writing songs for this project, so many demos that I'm just sitting on, and I refuse to let it die. This project is so much bigger than me, and it's bigger than just the music. But what do I mean by that?

Since its conception in 2021, I've had a vision for this project. My goal is to use this project as a medium to tell stories, and to bridge the gaps between subcultures and performance artforms. There's so much separatism and elitism within alternative spaces, as well as the larger performing arts community as a whole, namely in theatre arts. With The Paper Kingdom, I want to encourage the exploration of more niche and unique styles and blur the lines between types of performances. More specifically, I want to explore using the raw, visceral energy of post-hardcore (and other alternative music styles) as a means of weaving gripping and poignant stories meant to be told on-stage, to bring hardcore music and musical theatre together. The Paper Kingdom is more than a band. It's a multimedia project.

Obviously, this project is very involved, so I can't do it alone. I already wear so many hats as a vocalist, songwriter, producer, and playwright. So, I'm looking for collaborators! Currently, I'm just looking for bandmates. I'm looking for people to write songs with, play live with, and to fill out the lineup. If you play guitar, bass, or drums, don't hesitate to reach out! Bonus points if you can sing and scream! And please, don't be intimidated by my flowery language and big ideas. At its core, The Paper Kingdom is DIY. It isn't some grandiose musical theatre company gunning for a Tony. Despite my vision of artistic variety, I intend to maintain my punk rock ideals.

All that being said, if you're interested in this thing I'm doing, you can let me know by filling out the interest form here! I'll see you soon :)"
