Why I Collect Physical Media over Streaming

During My High School Years a lot of people questioned why I still collected DVD's Blu-Ray's & VHS (As well as CD & Vinyl but I didn't collect those at the time) when Streaming is a thing but heres my Many Reasons why I Collect Physical Media

  1. Not Everything is available on Streaming: Alot of people think Everything is on Streaming Services but that's simply not the Case for One Various Movies I own (1995's Power Rangers The Movie & The 1993 Mario Movie for Example to this day are Not on any Streaming Services Legally in the US)

  2. Missing Episodes: For Certain TV Shows that get either Censored or Other Reasons Alot of times some Episodes aren't available on Streaming (The SpongeBob Episode Mid-Life Crustacean isn't on Paramount+ but I have it on The SpongeBob First 100 Episode DVD or How a Good Chunk of Ren & Stimpy Episodes are Missing from Paramount+ The Invader Zim 1999 Pilot Episode is also only available Legally through the Original DVD Releases which I own I got the Complete Series for Christmas from My Aunt)

  3. Streaming Services often Pull Movies & Shows: for Example Netflix Removes tons of Movies & TV Shows over the years meaning you can't watch them whenever you want cuz Netflix Removes them often due to Licensing Issues (I remember being so Pissed when SpongeBob Left Netflix) but When you own the DVD/Blu-Ray you own the Copy meaning they can't take it away from you & you can watch whatever Movie or Show anytime you like

  4. When Internet Goes out: Whenever the Internet Goes out or Slows down you can't really Stream anything cuz it requires Wi-Fi but with DVD or Blu-ray you don't need Wi-Fi to Watch a Disc

  5. You have it all In one place: With Streaming Services if you want Alot of Movies or Shows that may be on different things you have to Pay Monthly for Various Different Streaming Services which Racks up a Large Bill but with a Physical Media Collection you can Save Money & you have it all right there & don't have to Pay for Multiple Services

  6. Modifications: For Example The Original Unaltered Versions of The Star Wars Trilogy are only Legally available through DVD VHS & Laserdisc & The Original Toonami Versions of the DBZ Dub also cant be Legally Streamed anywhere but was Released on DVD & VHS DBZ Kai with The Kenji Yamamoto OST is also only available Physically The Ninjago Pilot Episodes also can't be Legally Streamed Anymore for some reason (even tho they're a Crucial part for The Story)

This is just a Few of Many Reasons why I Collect Physical Media over just Relying on Streaming
