Today I went to the Japanese market and got some bread and a book. The book is called "The House of the Lost on the Cape" by Sachiko Kahiwaba. It sounds good! I want to get more into books and reading again. I used to read a lot as a kid but I haven't read much since highschool started. Now I am a college student and I'm going to read more. Who knew I would look up to my younger self? It should be the other way around!
I made a new friend who lives in mainland China. He is a college student too, studying to become an excellent computer programmer. I believe in him! He's teaching me Chinese. He also taught me that younger Chinese people rarely use emojis, and they don't use exclamation marks unless they are saying something important thru text. I use a lot of emojis an exclamation marks, so I must seem like an old lady or something! 😅 I talked to him about world peace and harmony too. After talking a bit about politics, we both said, "Despite America and China always getting into arguments, Americans and Chinese people can easily get along." ☺️
I am thankful for my close friends and my girlfriend today. 🤍 and sweet bread.
