some of my zelda roman empires

~ the divine beasts have hidden sos morse codes in their theme songs. this starts the theory that each sos signal symbolizes when the champions SENT the sos signals. mipha's is sent out the earliest, daruk's next, then urbosa's, and finally revali's (his is also sent the loudest and quickest paced, which could mean it was a last attempt at saving himself, his fragile ego making him wait until it was way too late.

~ the main symbol used for totk is the ouroboros, a famous symbol of a snake eating its own tail (a dragon is used instead). this represents the fact that this plot was always going to happen, no matter what. zelda was always meant to become a dragon, rauru and sonia were always meant to suffer the fates they did, etc etc. there was nothing that could have been done, and deep down most of them knew that. that fact is terrifying to me, the fact of KNOWING what your fate will most likely be, but still carrying on and making that sacrifice instead of surrendering.

~ we will never know the truth of what really happened to the zonai. where did they go? are the other three dragons zonai? what went on in the depths? how are the zonai connected to all of the other tribes?

~ when the zonai disappeared, an ancient tribe was so obsessed with them that they called themselves the zonai and built ruins in the way the zonai would have (you can tell this is the case due to the original zonai ruins in faron being built in a completely different way than actual zonai ruins.

~ link was taught to silently bear all of his burdens. that's why he never speaks.

~ link and zelda are only teens or kids in most games (as far as I know).

~ zelda was forced just as much, maybe even more than link was. a lot of the fans think she's annoying, or a crybaby, but she has been through so much.

~ midna lost the one person she was able to gain a genuine connection with. she tells him "see you later" when she knows they will never meet again.
