TW for needles and general hospital and anesthesia stuff

So a few months back i was at the hospital for 3 days and got anesthesia, and it was nothing like i expected 💀💀

First they made us arrive in the morning just to come pick me up in the evening... It was a long day. (i don't know if this generally happens to everyone)

While waiting i started wandering in the halls and found a small door with a ☣️ symbol on it. It was probably just an organic waste room or something but damn it made me feel uneasy as I've never seen one of these IRL before that.

Then they take me to the surgery room and i ask them to play I'm still standing (yes the song by Elton John), and i absolutely don't regret it it was worth it lmao.

They stabbed my cephalic vein (i think it was my cephalic vein) several times and failed (dear gods it hurts...) so they decided to stab my hand instead (i honestly started freaking out, i wasn't mentally prepared to have an IV in my hand, they had to put sleeping gas in my mask to do it lmao)

And when i woke up i had the wonderful idea (/s) to drink water and got sick, and also passed out several times the next 2 days i spent at the hospital because of my hypotension and the anesthesia combined.

But now i just think it's funny to remember it.

Though medical stuff isn't all negative, the staff was really nice, i just had a weird experience. So don't be scared when you're going to a hospital, you got this!
