Thing I don't like about this site

I've been on spacehey for a little over 4 months now and during that time I've discovered some things that I dislike about this site.

DNI and BYI blogs

I love to go onto the 'blog' tab and read new blog posts, but I have to scroll through pages and pages of DNI and BYI blogs. I don't understand why people don't just add that information on their profile. Isn't that what the "about me" and the "who i'd like to meet" sections are for? I can't imagine everybody reading these blog posts before interacting with someone. I just want to read blog posts but that is nearly impossible due to all these types of blogs.

Dead forums/groups

Why are forums and groups so dead? Only the first few groups get regular posts, every other one has about one post every 2 months.

People disappearing

It seems like people make a new account, use the site for about a week and then never log back on. Only a handful of people seem to stick around for longer than a month. It makes blogs, forums and groups even more dead because nobody logs back on. And I can't seem to have lasting conversations because people stop answering and never log back on.

Drama and callout posts

I don't care about whatever drama a user has found themselves in. I don't care about some random controversy about people I have never talked to. And frankly they are never really that bad. If you don't like someone, don't interact with them and un-friend them.

Friend requests

So many people just send you friend requests just because they want 'the most friends'. Why? This isn't tiktok! The number of friends on your profile doesn't matter. Why add people who you have nothing in common with, to never talk to that person, just for a number?

The interests list

On every profile there is an interests list. I love it, I can easily see what a person is into. What I don't like however, is the fact that you can't easily change the categories, add a new category or delete one you don't use. For me, the category 'heroes' is useless, I don't use that one. What I would love is to be able to split the 'music' category into 'artists' and 'songs'. Because that's something I have much more interest in. I make do with what I have but I just don't like seeing empty categories because I don't have anything to add. I have seen people re-purpose categories that they don't use by adding blinkies or other pictures. But there has to be another way.
