this song is from descendants: the rise of red, the newest movie in the descendants franchise. it's a movie i've found myself watching again and again, despite the fact that it's...not very good. i cannot explain this new habit, apart from the fact that it's a franchise i've held near and dear in my past.

i adore bridget. her outlook is what i enjoy the most. though, she's a fictional character, i find her no less impactful. today, i started my first day of junior year and it was supbar at best. even so, i tried to be positive just like bridget would. it may seem silly, but it did help. 

bridget is everything i want to be. she spreads positivity to both herself and others. i think the song's main point is true. the sun really does shine a little more brightly when you take things a little more lightly. 

i'm trying not to take things so hard this year while remaining happy with myself. i think that may be my greatest asset.
