violent times

these violent times we’re living in are wearing me out

there’s so much noise, if we could just turn it down

these violent times we’re living in are freaking me out 

there’s hate, rage and discord among the crowd 

999’s on the scene but to no avail

compared to the rioters, their actions pale

these violent times we’re living in are bringing me down

i would do anything to make it all stop 

but all i can do is try and shut the noise out
