Idc what anyone says Cold Front was good(U24)

Cold Front is a less of a horror game than their other works and more about friendship. Augustine and Winnie’s friendship has a large rift in it. It leads Augustine to believe that Winnie doesn’t see him as an equal. If you play through the good ending, instead of pushing Winnie down the steps and murdering him- you both have a conversation. You obviously come to the conclusion of the state you two are in (that being the car crash and sharing memories), but more importantly you two open up about the issues in your friendship. After some feel good moments Augustine and Winnie are back to reality with you both surviving. I did see some weird edgy people commenting on it making fun of the feel good friendship aspect, and it honestly irritated me. Not EVERY single story has to be dark and end tragically or bittersweet. I honestly feel if you are upset over fictional characters being good friends, then I worry you aren’t being a good friend irl. It is really important to be honest and admit when there is issues in ANY relationship. I really like the good ending of Cold Front, because vulnerable parts of friendships like that I feel aren’t shown as often in media. I really don’t like the hate to it, because it’s a realistic positive thing in relationships.

Anyway I love both of the endings and I love the characters sm! I think this is my fav Rachel game or Married in Red. I like Elevator Hitch a lot too, but story wise I think Cold Front and Married in Red are much preferable. Obviously Dead Plate’s a classic and I believe a good introduction to Rachel’s works :)

Still need to see Eloquent Countenance. Hopefully Jay from Kubz Scouts plays it since I’ve watched him play all the games.
