How do I add blinkies/gifs

I was able to add gifs once but now everything I try it just shows that little paper icon and now I want to add blinkies but I don't know how 😞

Also I know I have to use <img src="put link here"/> but it still doesn't work if you're able to help thank you!!!!!!! :3
